Developed by the photography collective "Gruppo E", the Leonardo Project is a series of 10 exhibitions exploring the genius of Leonardo da Vinci by providing different interpretative keys: Myself (Self-portrait), Shadows, Flight, Memorial, Balance, Tension, The mask, The food of the soul, The forbidden fruit, Communication. We thus developed a path that was already traced in part but also yet to be invented, and which allowed us to share ideas, beliefs, visions.
Works
A photographic project of this kind required us to experiment with new expressive forms, which had to be coherent with each other in order to form a unified path. My pictures are escape routes, geometries, and are carefully balanced. I mainly used color, highlighting the tones, the shades, and the backgrounds that could best show the less obvious aspects of reality: not so much what you see, but the vision that the image creates and, above all, the emotion it arouses.
